Amid growing public pressure to access complete files related to the sex trafficking ring led by Jeffrey Epstein, a group of conservative figures gained early access to the first declassified documents. Attorney General Pam Bondi, along with former official and current FBI director Kash Patel, were in charge of delivering the initial folders.

These documents are called “The Epstein Phase 1 Files,” and they were handed to a small circle of media figures aligned with Republican supporters. The group of MAGA supporters included DC Draino’s Rogan O’Handley, Real America’s Voice Jack Posobiec, Libs of TikTok’s Chaya Raichik, Liz Wheeler, Emily Austin, Savanah Hernandez, Chad Prather, and Mike Cernovich.

MAGA figures receive alleged Epstein case files

This Thursday, conservative political influencers and content creators were seen and photographed leaving the White House in big smiles. They were also holding the folders that would contain documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case, a financial magnate and sexual offender who abused minors.

Attorney Pam Bondi warned that she will demand that the FBI fully deliver the remaining files on February 28, 2025, before 8:00 a.m. In parallel, the White House has hinted that this first publication is just the beginning, and that new batches of documents could see the light of day in the weeks to come.

Republicans reaction to key files on Epstein's case

The “Epstein files” are a big talking point for the QAnon wing of MAGA, as they believe that their release would reveal a liberal group that secretly coordinates international child sex trafficking. Many in the conspiracy community have the theory that the death of Epstein—and the botched release of this list—is part of a greater cover-up.

Republican legislators did not hide their discomfort upon learning that the files were first shared with influencers, without first going through the House of Representatives Oversight Committee. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna shared her thoughts on X.
