Trump and Bukele meeting: What did the Salvadoran president say about immigration issues?
President Bukele landed at Joint Base Andrews. The following day, Trump announced on social media that he was eagerly awaiting him.

El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele stated that the extradition and return of deported individuals to his country will depend on the decision of the President of the United States. These comments came during the meeting between the Central American president and Donald Trump on Monday in Washington.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said 10 alleged gang members were sent to El Salvador, allegedly belonging to the MS-13 and Tren de Aragua criminal gangs.

The struggle of the deported Salvadoran
Kilmar Ábrego García, the Salvadoran citizen who was mistakenly extradited from the United States, resided in Maryland and had court permission. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration must facilitate the deportee's return.
Faced with this situation, García's lawyers indicated that this issue is beyond the courts' control. Recall that Trump stated last week that if the Supreme Court said to bring him back, he would comply.
Relations between Trump and Bukele
The relationship between the two presidents is excellent, as Bukele welcomed the possibility of receiving deported Americans. The Salvadoran president's stance facilitated Trump's plan regarding his new massive immigration policy.
To date, the Trump administration has deported more than 200 migrants to El Salvador. Most of them were sent under a 1798 law.
