The arrest comes after Peterson made an appearance at the U.S. Bank Stadium for the Vikings' draft day the previous evening. Peterson's breath test revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.14, nearly twice the legal limit.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, who told 5 Eyewitness news, Peterson was pulled over at 3:20 a.m. Friday morning when a trooper stopped a vehicle speeding on southbound Highway 77 near 66th Street in Richfield.
The Hennepin County Jail Roster said, Peterson was arrested and booked into jail for fourth-degree driving while impaired, a misdemeanor charge.
The patrol indicated that Peterson was driving 83 mph in a 55 mph zone, and he registered a blood alcohol concentration of 0.14 during a breathalyzer test.
Local news reported that Peterson was in Minnesota on Thursday, making an appearance at U.S. Bank Stadium as part of the team's draft day party.
Moreover, the Hennepin County Jail reported, Peterson has been released from custody. Peterson's bail was set at $4,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 9 at 9:00 a.m.
