Prince Harry reveals King Charles III won’t speak to him, calls for reconciliation
The Duke of Sussex opened up about the emotional toll the situation has taken on him and his family, acknowledging the difficulties in returning to the UK due to safety concerns.

Prince Harry has been candid about the psychological cost of his ongoing disagreement with the royal family about safety. Harry said that he is "devastated" over his security arrangements, and described himself as "not able to do anything" because of them. In an interview with the BBC, Harry described how his father, King Charles III, refused to speak with him because of the security issue, which has left the relationship severely strained.
Harry said that he hopes to reconcile, but it has become increasingly challenging to think of returning to the UK with his family. He noted that this situation arose due to the conflict regarding his security requirements growing out of control after a legal challenge was denied, which is now he ended up being unable to return safely to the UK with his family.
Prince Harry hopes a reconciliation with his father, King Charles III
The Duke of Sussex shared in an interview with the BBC that his father, King Charles III, "won't speak to me because of this security issue" and that he doesn't know how long his father has left to live. Harry said he had "forgiven" his family, despite his many disagreements with them.
Speaking from California, Harry said it was "impossible" for him to bring his family back to the UK after losing the legal case regarding his security while in the UK. He said, "At the moment, it is impossible for me to take my family back to the UK safely. I will carry on with a life of public service, supporting the charities and people that mean a lot to me, and I would like to support the people who support me and work with".
The prince expressed his regret for not showing his children the country he loves, stating "I do love my country, I always have, regardless of some actions taken by some people there. I miss the UK and parts of it, and it is a shame I'll never get my kids to experience where I'm from."

Harry observed that things have gotten "worse" since he and Meghan Markle moved first to Canada, and then onto California after their decision to step back as full-time royals.
When it came to his security issues, Harry said he never asked his father for help at that point. "I've not asked him to do anything. All I have ever asked him is to let others take control," Harry said, believing that if his father would just let people do it, they would work it out. He added that the original issue began with the previous government but suggested that it could be swayed by the current government.
Harry spoke about his concerns about security arrangements
When asked whether Keir Starmer would be appropriate to intervene, Harry said that the prime minister and home secretary need to review the actions of Ravec (the Royal and Public Figures Executive Committee), which he thinks is behaving lawlessly and has impacted the decisions relating to his security.
The duke also expressed his concerns about his current security arrangements, stating: "Everything makes me feel unsafe about the arrangements." He professed that he had very good evidence behind his legal challenge to this point and, despite losing the appeal, now feels more unsafe than he did before.
Lastly, Harry reiterated that he could "never leave the royal family" but intends to leave the institution because he believed he had no alternative.
