Donald Trump would like to participate in the peace talks between Rusia and Ucrania
The US President attempt to look for the peace is trying to support the meeting. However, Moscow did not confirm the assistance of Putin.

President Donald Trump opens the possibility of attending the peace meeting between Russia and Ukraine. As part of his trip to the Midwest, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, the President considered going to Turkey, the place where the meeting is supposed to take place, "if it is necessary."
"I believe that the meeting between Russia and Ukraine could have good results," said President Trump to the press at the White House last Monday.
Last month, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that if there are no more advances, the USA "must go on". This puts Trump’s administration in a difficult situation, since its efforts to negotiate peace between Russia and Ukraine were ineffective.
Zelensky approves his initiative.
A few days later, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, said that his country would appreciate Trump’s assistance in order to improve communication between him and Vladimir Putin.
Also, Zelensky has expressed his willingness to meet with the President of Russia, as he proposed a "direct" conversation in Turkey. Regarding these statements, Trump said that Zelensky must accept the offer to talk and try to push for an end to the war.
The silence in Moscow
Last weekend, Trump supported the idea of the meeting only if Russia stops the violence. The USA and its allies would impose new massive sanctions. The only way to proceed is with that condition.
However, since then, few people from the Kremlin have spoken about the meetings. According to the news agency Reuters, the Kremlin affirms that Putin’s intention to start peace through a meeting was correct, but it did not mention whether the president will attend.
Similarly, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke with Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s minister. According to Reuters, again, they did not confirm anything.
In his morning speech, Zelensky addressed this silence and regretted the unclear response to peace from Moscow, saying that Ukraine "is always open to dialogue".
