On May 14, at Manchester, Bruce Springsteen, also known as "The Boss" opened up his set as opener for the E Street Band’s 2025 European tour with a very direct dig to the U.S. president, calling it “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous”.

As it was expected, Donald Trump did not remain silent on the matter and answered to the criticism, calling the musician "highly overrated" and claiming he "never liked him".

What did Bruce Springsteen said about Trump?

Before performing the first song of the set list, "The Land of Hopes and Dreams", he presented the song talking about the current situation in the country, stating just how sad he was about America's administration with Trump at the head.

The "Born in the U.S.A." singer told the public how the America he had always written abut, the one who had been "a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years" was now in the hands of a “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration”. He ended his speech by asking the fans to raise their voices against authoritarianism.

How did Donald Trump responded to Bruce Springsteen?

The U.S. president called the rock star "highly overrated" and "not a talented guy". He criticized the singer for supporting Joe Biden, whom he called "a mentally incompetent FOOL" and the "WORST EVER president".
