ICE raids will triplicate in the US according to Trump
The "sanctuary cities" are the main focus of this increase, and Director of ICE affirms that they will work harder to accomplish their operations, according to Trump's politics.

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement will intensify their actions against undocumented immigrants. The target of this measure is cities called "sanctuary cities" that are not cooperating with the federal authorities.
Tom Homan, the border czar, confirms this firm advance in the immigration policies of Donald Trump's administration.
ICE will triple the raids in the U.S.
ICE's raids will focus mainly on workplaces in those cities. Therefore, government actions are no longer restricted to factories or restaurants but also extend to parking lots of construction materials stores.
The most recent raid ended with the detention of 20 people who were looking for a job. Early this year, more than 200 farmworkers were arrested by the same strategy. According to Homan, these operations are carried out to prevent illegal employment and poor working conditions.

There is no official list, but some of the main cities known for their sanctuary policies include: Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, and Washington D.C.
These cities have been supporting immigrants' rights, refusing access to federal agents, and blocking all kinds of communication between them and their former workers.
In response to this situation, Tom Homan said that if these cities continue to protect immigrants, ICE will change its focus: "If we can't arrest them in their communities, we will arrest them at their workplaces."
In a Fox News interview, Todd Lyons, interim director of ICE, confirmed that increase earlier this May. He said that the main focus was the detention of undocumented immigrants with criminal records.
However, Lyons speaks directly to the sanctuary cities: "We want to work with you, but if you do not cooperate with the federal government, if you do not want to work with ICE, we will employ all our resources to carry out our operations in that jurisdiction."
