Jim Irsay, Indianapolis Colts owner and CEO dies at 65
At just 37 years old, Jim Irsay became the youngest owner in the NFL, leaving a legacy as one of the league's most influential and a notable member of the finance committee.

Indianapolis Colts NFL team is on duel. Its owner an CEO, Jim Irsay dies at 65 years-old in May 21th. Irsay had led the team since 1997 and represented one ofhte greates eras of the franchise.
"We are devastated to announce our beloved Owner & CEO, Jim Irsay, passed away peacefully in his sleep this afternoon," said Pete Ward, Colts chief operating officer, in a statement posted by the team. "Jim's dedication and passion for the Indianapolis Colts in addition to his generosity, commitment to the community, and most importantly, his love for his family were unsurpassed
What happened with Jim Irsay?
On December 2023, Irsay was hospitalized after first responders found him passed out in his bedroom. Since them, his health became under scrutiny. After a month of the incident the Colts said in a statement that he was being treated for respiratory issues.
Colts' owner did not attentd the NFL's annual meeting last March neither the league meeting this week. As a matter of fact, his public appearences decreases after the incident. He even posted a support message on his social media fot the India Pacer and onwer Herb Simon.

Jim Irsay's carreer
Irsay assumed the owner role at 37 years old, after the death of his father Bob and after the conclusion of a legal battle with his stepmother. For that, he became the NFL's youngest owner at that time and one of its most influential during his leadership. He gained reputation for his colorful personalaity among a peer group of people that typcally avoid the spotlight.
Irsay also was a membor of the NFL's finance committee and chaired the legislative commitee. Even before of being an owner, he was involed in league matter being part of four executives appointed by Pete Rozelle, an NFL commisioner. They design what became the league's salary cap.
