Donald Trump will have a military parade for his birthday
Over 6,000 U.S. soldiers will participate on it, which will seek to honor the Army matching the President's Birthday.

The U.S. Army remains scheduling to conduct a military parade on June 14 in Washington, D.C., to commemorate its founding anniversary of 250 years. The day is also the 79th birthday of President Donald Trump, who will feature the main role to play in the parade. The parade will be the biggest one after the post-Gulf War commemoration organized in 1991, with tanks, armored personnel carriers, and helicopters inside the capital.
A total of 6,700 soldiers from different national bases will take part in the parade. The demonstration will feature 28 M1 Abrams, 28 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, 28 Stryker armored vehicles, four M-109 Paladin self-propelled howitzers and other artillery units. All the equipment will be transported by ship from Fort Cavazos, Texas, to Maryland and then by land to the vicinity around the Lincoln Memorial.

Preparations are in motion for President Donald Trump to celebrate his birthday with a grand military parade. The celebration will come with more than 6,000 troops, 150 armored personnel carriers, 50 fighter jets and mounted cavalry. The parade will range from the Pentagon to the National Mall and will be supplemented by ancillary activities like exhibitions, fairs and enlistment ceremonies.
Although the U.S. administration guaranteed that the intention is to honor the Army, the proposal generated controversy as opposition forces accused the administration of politicizing a patriotic act. The military act will end with a fireworks display and ceremonial flag presentation to the president by the parachute team: Golden Knights. The cost estimate of the festival is in the range of $25 million to $45 million, and it was also criticized regarding the expenditure of public funds.

Trump's dream came true
During his first term, President Donald Trump proposed a parade similar to the one he saw in France during the 2017. After observing the two-hour parade on the Champs-Elysées, he declared that he was going to hold an even larger event on Pennsylvania Avenue. However, the project was rejected on the basis of being cost-prohibitive, estimated at $92 million. In addition, it must face logistical difficulties, including the risk of devastation that tanks and heavy-moving vehicles could cause to city streets.
In 2018, Trump conveyed on social media the cancellation of the parade, laying the blame at the feet of local politicians for the increased expense. This year, when the Army went ahead with plans to mark its anniversary in Washington, negotiations to revive the plan for the parade began again.
