Did Elon Musk use drugs during the 2024 campaign? Trump speaks out
President Trump says he was unaware of Elon Musk reportedly using drugs like ketamine and psychedelics during the 2024 campaign.

On May 30, The New York Times, alleged that Elon Musk, who until recently was at the head of the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), had used drugs during the 2024 presidential campaign.
According to the report, Musk had frequently used substances like ketamine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms while campaigning alongside then-candidate Donald Trump.
Trump responds to reports of Musk’s drug use
President Trump has publically denied any knowledge of Musk's drug use. While returning from a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump spoke to reporters claiming he doesn't know anything about it, and calling Musk "fantastic".
Trump did not show any sign of concern about the situation as, when he was asked bout the report, he said: "I'm not troubled by anything with Elon."
Musk avoids questions on drug use in Oval Office
However, Elon Musk avoided direct answers when he was asked about the allegations during an Oval Office event. He said "let's move on" and criticized The New York Times for reporting Russian interference in the 2016 in the past.
While he has not publically acknowledged these accusations, Musk has admitted to using drugs in the past, like: admitting in March 2024 that he used prescription ketamine to combat depression.
