SEPTA bus fire in Nicetown: Emergency crews respond to blaze near major roads
A fire broke out at a SEPTA bus graveyard in Philadelphia and while no injuries have been reported, emergency crews work to control the blaze.

In Philadelphia, emergency crews are working tirelessly to control the blaze set by several SEPTA buses in a "bus graveyard" on Thursday morning.
The fire was upgraded to a 3-alarm blaze at 7:30 am, almost an hour and a half after the fire broke out in the 2400 block of Roberts Avenue in Philadelphia's Tioga-Nicetown section.
Cause of the blaze still unknown as crews battle the fire
While officials remain unsure about how the fire started on June 5; the main theory is that only one bus was in flames, and later they spread to the other ones.
According to the police, at least 2 dozen buses were affected at the SEPTA Midvale District, next to the Roberts Yard. However, SEPTA spokesperson, Andrew Busch, stated that the buses on fire were part of the out-of-service group, so the bus schedule will not be affected by the fire.
Road closures in Nicetown and surrounding areas
According to authorities, the fire is located right behind the Roberts Yard SEPTA Railroad Facility and the Midvale Bus Depot. Additionally, they reported that the fire had caused no injuries so far.
Nonetheless, due to the fire, emergency crews are closing streets in the area near Roosevelt Boulevard near Germantown Avenue in Hunting Park. Authorities are also urging people to avoid the area, and the Philadelphia Health Department is investigating the air quality due to the thick black smoke provoked by the blaze.
