As we know, Israel fired airstrikes on Iran targeting nuclear facilities in an operation called "Rising Lion" which caused the death of at least 6 Iranian nuclear scientists and key elements among the Iranian military, such as: Revolutionary Guard's commander-in-chief, General Hossein Salami, and Generals Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Mohammad Bagheri, and Gholamali Rashid.
However, in a retaliatory counterattack, with Operation True Promise 3, Iran launched an airstrike targeted Israeli Air Bases and military facilities in 2 barrages, leaving 50 wounded and one person dead. According to Israel's Prime Minister, Israel Katz, their priority is to ensure the Ayatollah Ali Jamenei's regime "pays a very heavy price for its heinous actions," and to safeguard their citizens well-being

Yuri Ushakov, a Kremlin aide, told reporters that the Russian President is concerned about a possible escalation of the conflict. "Vladimir Putin condemned Israel's military operation against Iran. As Ushakov stated, more attacks would have "unpredictable consequences for the entire situation in the Middle East."
However, the Russian aide also stated when he confirmed the call between Trump and Putin, that the U.S. President considers recent events "very concerning"; and both world leaders are open to negotiate again a nuclear program with Iran.
