On Thursday, June 19, the White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, announced a message "directly from the President". According to her, the U.S. President Donald Trump will make a decision regarding the country's future involvement in a war with Iran in "the next two weeks".
President Donald Trump has decided to postpone his decision to join the Israeli-Iranian conflict based on the fact of "a substantial chance" of negotiations which "may or may not take place with Iran in the near future".
Karoline Leavitt announces Iran only needs "a couple of weeks" to manufacture a nuclear weapon
After the breaking announcement, Karoline Leavitt also claimed that Iran has the capability to develop a nuclear weapon within "a couple of weeks", and the only thing they need is the Iranian Supreme Leader's, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, approval.
Leavitt told reporters at the White House that Iran has "everything they need" to get a nuclear weapon. "All they need is a decision from the supreme leader to do it, and it would take a couple of weeks to complete production of that weapon."
Israel expects the U.S. to join the war
A few hours ago, The Times of Israel reported that an Israeli representative stated that the U.S. President will join them in their efforts against Iran. According to the representative, the U.S. will make the decision "on their own" without any need of pressure from their part, in the next 24 to 48 hours.
While the United States' assistance is expected; according to Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, it is not necessary. Netanyahu, stated that Israel's military is completely capable of defeating Iran's Fordo nuclear facility, on their own.
