Trump on Europe’s role in ending Israel-Iran war: "They won’t be able to help"
U.S. President Donald Trump dismisses Europe's ability to help in the Israel-Iran conflict.

On Friday, June 20, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that powerful European countries would not be able to help to end the Iran-Israel conflict; after representatives from Germany, France, United Kingdom, and the European Union met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Geneva.
According to an anonymous diplomat, no date has been set for a future meeting, but they are planning to reunite before Trump's 'two weeks' deadline. Donald Trump, however, did not seem surprised by the meeting's failure to reach an agreement. "Iran doesn't want to speak to Europe. They want to speak to us. Europe is not going to be able to help on this one".
Iran will only "consider" diplomacy once the attacks stop
After many hours talking with European leaders, Abbas Araghchi, stated that once Israel “is held accountable for the crimes he committed” and the war is ended; they would be ready to resume diplomatic relations with the United States.
However, Arangachi has stated Iran has no problem continuing diplomatic relations with European leaders. "We support the continuation of discussion with E3 (Britain, France, Germany and the EU) and express our readiness to meet again in the near future.”
Trump unlikely to press Israel to end the war
Donald Trump considers it unlikely to convince Israel to dial down the attack to allow negotiations to continue.“I think it’s very hard to make that request right now." According to the president, the difficulty is on the fact that Israel is currently on the "winning side" of the conflict.
"If somebody is winning, it’s a little bit harder to do than if somebody is losing, but we’re ready, willing and able, and we’ve been speaking to Iran, and we’ll see what happens,” he said.
