According to their joint statement, the 3 representatives have asked the Islam Republic "not to take further actions that could destabilize the region".

While the Europeans leaders urge Iran not to retaliate against the United States, they highlight the importance of an agreement which would benefit all involved parties. "We call on Iran to engage in negotiations leading to an agreement that addresses all concerns related to its nuclear program."

They also wanted to remind Iran they are willing to mediate to achieve a successful agreement. "We stand ready to contribute to that goal in coordination with all parties."

However, Iran's President, Masud Pezeshkian, promised a response to the U.S. strikes in a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, according to Irna News Agency.

Iran still has enriched uranium

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, according to a social media post from an advisor to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Ali Shamkhani, Iran still has enriched uranium despite the United States' best efforts and strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities.

"Even after the attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, the game is not over. The enriched materials, the knowledge, and the political initiative will remain," he stated in an X post. The advisor, Ali Shamkhani, also promised that "the political and operational initiative now rests with those who play smart and avoid blind attacks. The surprises will continue!"
