'Casanova Killer' was convicted of the murders of many women in many different states, Rogers was known both for his charm and violent crimes, which earned him the nicknames of "Casanova Killer" and "Cross Country Killer." His execution is taking place amid public debate on the application of the death penalty.

The serial killer used his last words to praised Donald Trump seconds before to end his life at the Florida State Prison in Raiford, "President Trump, keep making America great. I'm ready to go." Rogers' remarks were witnessed and reported by media outlets including the Tampa Bay Times and the Associated Press.
Randy Roberson, whose mother Andy Lou Jiles Sutton was a victim of the Casanova Killer, witnessed the execution and said that Rogers' comment about Trump seemed to confuse people in the room. "I was like, 'Where did that even come from?'" he said.
In addition to his support for Trump, Rogers expressed his love for his family. He also addressed the victims of his crimes. “I know there’s a lot of questions that you need answers to," he said. "I promise you in the near future the questions will be answered, and I hope in someway will bring you closure."
Why was Glen Rogers executed?
Glen Edward Rogers, 62, was executed by lethal injection on Thursday for murdering Tina Marie Cribbs, one of four single & vermillion-haired mothers in their 30s that were slain by the infamous "Casanova Killer." He earned the nickname "Casanova Killer" due to his handsome likeness that helped him attract and charm people, and was also nicknamed "Cross Country Killer" because at least these victims were murdered in four states that included California, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Florida.
Prior to sentencing, one sister of a victim told the court Rogers was "an animal," that he was "one of the most evil people I can imagine," according to a previous Associated Press report.
After he was arrested, Rogers claimed he was responsible for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman in Los Angeles in June 1994, and for approximately 70 other victims, although there was no evidence for the claims.
Originally from Hamilton, Ohio, Rogers was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m. He was the 16th person executed by the United States this year, and the 5th person executed in Florida. Three other executions are scheduled for next week in Texas, Indiana and Tennessee.
