Chris Brown arrested for allegedly attacking music producer with bottle in London
Chris Brown was arrested in Manchester for allegedly assaulting music producer Abe Diaw with a tequila bottle at a London nightclub in 2023.
Chris Brown, the Grammy-winning R&B singer, was arrested early Thursday morning at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, England, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
The arrest relates to a February 2023 incident at Tape nightclub in London, where Brown allegedly attacked music producer Abe Diaw with a bottle.

According to police reports, in 2023 Chris Brown struck music producer Ade Diaw multiple times with a Don Julio 1942 tequila bottle, before proceeding to punch and kick him severly.
Diaw claims Chris Brown stomped on the back of his neck, which resulted i him losing consciousness for 30 seconds. The attack left the music producer with multiple injuries, requiring hospital treatment.
Chris Brown's previous legal issues
While the incident occurred in February 2023, Diaw filed a lawsuit 9 months after. However, the London incident is far from his first run in with the law for Brown.
In 2009, when the singer was dating pop star Rihanna, he was charged with felony assault conviction for beating her. Pictures of the "Diamonds" singer went viral as her face showed severe injuries. Additionally, his ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, was granted a restraining order in 2017.
