Wrestlemania 42 moves out from New Orleans in 2026

WWE announced the new location for the 42nd edition of WrestleMania. Unfortunately, it cancelled the announcement of New Orleans, an iconic city that has, more than once, hosted the wrestling franchise event.

Earlier this year, WWE superstar and Hollywood actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson announced that WrestleMania will be live from Caesars Dome. This marked the return of the event to Louisiana since the last time it was held there was in 2018.

Why is WrestleMania 42 not going to be on New Orleans?

The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, responsible for sports events in the city, made a statement to Wrestleconomics. They announced that the event has been rescheduled to an unspecified year. They have not provided more details on when the event will return.

However, another WWE event will be hosted in the city. Money in the Bank will be held in New Orleans in 2026. This follows a recently announced UFC event at the Smoothie King Center for July. Both events will share dates as part of a "multi-event, multi-year agreement" between TKO Group Holdings, WWE, and local organizers.

Where is going to be the new WrestleMania 42 location?

WWE announced that the event will take place live at the Caesars Superdome on Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12, 2026. This means that the event will stay in Las Vegas, since the last edition was also held in that city. Last year's event was a success, although some fans criticized it. The 41st edition left some iconic moments in WWE's history.
