In celebration of its 120th anniversary, H-E-B has announced a generous giveaway, offering 120 Texans the chance to win free groceries for a whole year. This initiative, unveiled during their recent Super Bowl commercial featuring country artist Aaron Watson, underscores H-E-B's deep-rooted commitment to the Texas community.

The "Big Thanks Texas Giveaway" will run from February 10 through June 9, 2025. To participate, customers can scan the barcode in their My H-E-B mobile app during checkout, enter their associated phone number at the register, place orders for curbside pickup or delivery, or submit a mail-in entry. No purchase is necessary to enter.

How to enter the H-E-B 120th Anniversary Giveaway?

Participating in H-E-B's milestone celebration is straightforward. Customers have multiple entry methods to choose from:

  • In-Store purchase: During checkout, open the My H-E-B app, tap the barcode icon in the top right corner, and have the cashier scan it.
  • Phone number entry: Provide the phone number linked to your verified My H-E-B account at the register.
  • Curbside or delivery orders: Place an order through the H-E-B app or website for curbside pickup or home delivery.
  • Mail-In entry: For those who prefer not to use the app or make a purchase, mail-in entries are accepted. Detailed instructions and official rules are available on H-E-B's website.

The giveaway was prominently featured in H-E-B's Super Bowl commercial, titled "Lots to Love." The ad showcases Texas native, Aaron Watson, performing an original song that pays homage to the state's rich culture and H-E-B's longstanding presence. The commercial highlights iconic Texas landscapes, H-E-B partners in the community, and customers enjoying popular H-E-B brand products.
