Father's day 2025: What discounts are this year?
Today, June 15, marks Father's Day in the U.S. with restaurants such as KFC, Hooters and Shake Shack offering special promotions to honor fathers.
Today, June 15, is Father's Day, and a bunch of restaurants across the U.S. are offering special deals and discounts for the loving "men of the house." KFC, Hooters, and Shake Shack are some of the popular chains celebrating this holiday with American families.
Father's Day originated with a Civil War veteran named William Jackson Smart, who raised his six kids on his own after the death of his wife and the mother of his children. His daughter proposed a day to honor fatherhood in 1910, and during Richard Nixon's administration, the day became an official holiday in 1972.
In-restaurant deals
Among the restaurants offering local deals, Hooters leads the list. The "Cheers to DAD" promotion offers 10 boneless wings free with the purchase of 10 wings in any style. KFC, on its side, offers not one, but two specials for Father's Day; for only $20, you can get either a Fan-Favorites Box or a Double Mash Meal.
Red Robin does not fall behind; with a purchase of a $50 gift card, dads will receive a $10 Bonus Buck reward. Buffalo Wild Wings also has a special deal, offering 20 traditional wings with fries for $20, and Fogo de Chão customers will receive $25 off two churrasco experiences for future visits.

Online deals and offers
If you prefer a home celebration, some other restaurants have offers on their delivery services. Shake Shack offers a BOGO Double Shakeburger using the code "DADMODE" on its app and online at ShakeShack.com. Wendy's has a similar offer on its premium sandwiches through the Wendy's App.
Scooter Coffee also has a BOGO deal on its drinks, available only today through its mobile app. Rita’s Italian Ice is offering app users a Small Italian Ice for $1 with a $1 minimum purchase. Finally, IHOP is offering a 20% discount on pickup or delivery using promo code IHOP20.
