In a recent interview, Dallas Mavericks' center Anthony Davis revealed that he may have rushed his return from injury following his trade from the Los Angeles Lakers. Davis admitted that, in hindsight, he should have taken a few more days to recover before making his debut with the Mavericks.

The urgency to join his new team led Davis to forgo his usual treatment routine during the transition. This disruption in his rehabilitation process may have contributed to the adductor strain he suffered during his first game with Dallas, causing him to miss several subsequent games.

Davis's injury history was a concern during the trade, and this setback highlighted the challenges he faced in maintaining his health. His absence left the Mavericks without a key player on both ends of the floor during a critical period in the season.

Since then, Davis has worked diligently to return to the lineup, despite experiencing occasional setbacks. He is expected to play in the upcoming game against the Brooklyn Nets, aiming to help the team improve their standing in the playoff race.

The Mavericks currently hold the 9th seed with a 37-38 record. Davis's return is anticipated to bolster the team's performance as they strive for a postseason berth.
