After more than 30 years of groundbreaking music, during which they built a unique martial mythology and created some of the most iconic hip-hop albums ever, Wu-Tang Clan has hinted that their time as a group may be coming to an end.

The iconic rap group — composed of RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard — will kick off their final tour this summer.

No longer 'forever'? Wu-Tang Clan announces final tour

The "Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber" tour is set to begin on June 6 in Baltimore at the CFG Bank Arena, with the final show scheduled for July 18 at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center.

The tour will visit cities including Raleigh, NC; Tampa, FL; Atlanta; Fort Worth, TX; Houston; Austin, TX; Tulsa, OK; Phoenix; Ontario, Canada; San Diego; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Sacramento, CA; Seattle; Vancouver, Canada; Portland, OR; Greenwood Village, CO; Chicago; Detroit; Columbus, OH; Boston; Laval, Canada; Toronto; New York; and Newark, NJ.

"This is a special moment for me and all my Wu brothers to travel the world one last time, sharing the Wu swag, music, and culture. Most importantly, we want to connect with our fans and those who have supported us over the years. On this tour, we’re performing songs we've never played before, and our production team has created a Wu-Tang show like nothing anyone has ever seen.", group leader RZA has written in a statement.

Wu-Tang Clan will be joined by Run the Jewels as opening acts.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, with no pre-sale offered.

If this proves to be the group’s final tour, it will mark the end of a wildly creative — and occasionally turbulent — career for the nine-member collective.

What was Wu-Tang's role in the hip-hop scene?

Formed in Staten Island in 1992, Wu-Tang Clan, with production from RZA, released their debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) in 1993, introducing gritty narratives laced with martial arts and comic book references.

Their follow-up, Wu-Tang Forever, topped the charts in both the US and UK, and their third album, The W, featured some of their biggest hits, including "Gravel Pit" and "Protect Ya Neck (The Jump Off)." They released three more studio albums and even a one-of-a-kind album, Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, which was bought by pharmaceutical mogul Martin Shkreli for $2 million in 2015.

Solo projects from members like Ghostface Killah’s Supreme Clientele and Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx are also seen as high points in the hip-hop genre. In 2004, they lost one of their most distinctive members, Ol' Dirty Bastard, to an accidental drug overdose, and coordinating all members for group projects hasn't always been easy, leading to several releases with missing members.

This April, Wu-Tang Clan will release Black Samson, an album with all nine members, though it's not officially a Wu-Tang album and is instead co-credited to producer Mathematics. The group also performed together for a concert residency in Las Vegas in 2024.

Run the Jewels, the hip-hop duo of El-P and Killer Mike, will provide support for the U.S. tour.
