The show, which filled the 12:30 a.m. time slot following The Late Late Show with James Corden’s departure, will air its series finale in June, marking the end of its brief but memorable run.
Taylor Tomlinson returns to stand-up comedy
After Midnight debuted in January 2024 and is currently on its second season, but for Taylor Tomlinson it was enough. In an Instagram Story she announced her departure in a heartfelt goodbye and expressed her gratitude towards everyone who supported the show and called it "the experience of a lifetime".

She explained that, despite being grateful for her time in TV, she felt it was time to move on and focus on her stand-up career and tour full-time. Fans will be able to see her on her current "Save me" tour across multiple cities in the U.S.

Despite the cancellation, Stephen Colbert, an executive producer of the show, and CBS, have Taylor's back. Colbert expressed his understanding of her decision and thanked the staff of After Midnight for their "amazing dedication" to making the show a success.
