Chapman opened up about her career, her landmark debut album's 37th anniversary, and her unexpected performance at the Grammy Awards with country artist Luke Combs.

Tracy Chapman's 37th anniversary of her debut album

Tracy Chapman's debut album was released in 1987, marking it 37th anniversary on April 5. While a reissue was set to be released in 2023 to coincide with the album's 35th anniversary, due to complications it was pushed for 2025.

The "Talkin' Bout a Revolution" singer shared with The New York Times that despite these setbacks, she took great care ensuring that the reissue was exactly as she wanted it, even listening to every test pressing herself.
