A mass shooting in Pierce County, Washington, has left two young people dead and four others injured. The tragic incident occurred early Saturday morning at a house party just south of Tacoma, when a fight escalated into gunfire.

Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies responded to multiple reports of a chaotic scene with dozens of people fleeing, screaming, and running for safety. Authorities are still investigating the shooting that has shocked the community and left a trail of victims, some as young as 16.

Pierce County Sheriff’s Department stated that authorities responded to reports of chaos at the party shortly after midnight. Dozens of people were fleeing the scene in a frenzy, as shots rang out. Local authorities had just been alerted about a fight in the area before the shooting started.

A male victim was found on the street, and despite all efforts to save his life, he was later pronounced dead. He was not the only victim of that night, as four others ranging from 16 to 21 years old are being treated right now for serious injuries.

Investigation and arrest made in Pierce County shooting

On Saturday morning, authorities announced the arrest of a young male in connection to the shooting and two weapons have been located, but details are scarce.
