The 2017 shooting incident outside Chick-fil-A
The deadly incident happened in 2017 when McIntyre and his associates picked up Mark Anthony Saldivar for a photoshoot, but ended up robbing him.
After a physical altercation, Saldivar was shot outside a Chick-fil-A near North Star Mall in San Antonio, where his body was found. Taymor McIntyre's, better known as Tay-K, legal defense did not hold up as they claimed the rapper "is not guilty of capital murder, murder or manslaughter," according to KSAT.
McIntyre's past convictions
However, this is not the only crime Tay-K was wanted for. In 2016, he was connected to the dead of 21-year-old Ethan Walker during a home invasion.
For charges related to Walker's death, he received a 55-year sentence, one of them being aggravated robbery; and while Tay-K 's criminal records has fueled public attention, it also turned attention towards his song "The Race".
