Rapper Lil Uzi Vert, 29, is currently receiving medical care after being taken out of a Lower Manhattan hotel by paramedics, according to TMZ. Emergency responders arrived following a 911 call reporting a “sick person,” though it’s still unknown who placed the call.

An eyewitness told TMZ that the artist — born Symere Bysil Woods — was placed into an ambulance around 2:30 p.m. local time. He was reportedly conscious during the process, and his girlfriend, former City Girls rapper JT, was by his side.

Footage captured by TMZ showed Lil Uzi Vert being wheeled out on a stretcher while security staff used black umbrellas to shield him from view.

As of Tuesday, the “The Way Life Goes” rapper remains hospitalized. The cause of his illness and his current condition have not been publicly disclosed.

According to Page Six, they reached out to the rapper’s team for comment, but has yet to receive a response.

It’s unclear what Lil Uzi Vert was doing prior to the incident, but he did post an Instagram carousel last week showing him recording in a studio.

Meanwhile, his girlfriend JT — whose real name is Jatavia Shakara Johnson — shared an Instagram Story from a rooftop lounge party just hours before the medical episode. It’s not confirmed whether Uzi was with her at the time, and she has not yet made a public statement about the situation.
