Wisconsin child abuse case: Man accused of holding minor in basement for Years, facing serious criminal charges
David Boyd, 64, was arrested for alleged unlawful imprisonment, child trafficking, and repeated assaults involving two girls at his Milwaukee home.

Authorities in Wisconsin have arrested a 64-year-old man following an investigation linking him to multiple alleged crimes against two minors over several years. David Boyd was taken into custody on April 26 and now faces charges including child abuse, trafficking of minors, use of a dangerous weapon, and unlawful imprisonment.
The investigation began in January after one of the victims disclosed the alleged abuse to her adoptive father, who reported it to the police. According to a criminal complaint, both she and her sister were allegedly abused repeatedly from a young age by Boyd, who was in a relationship with their godmother’s mother.
Alleged confinement in basement and extreme conditions
One of the minors claimed that Boyd took her to his Milwaukee residence on several occasions, where she was held in the basement and restrained with chains. During these episodes, she reportedly had minimal access to food and water. The victim provided investigators with a drawing of the space, depicting herself tied up near basic appliances, with references to a piece of bread and water collected from the floor.
The complaint also alleges that Boyd inflicted physical harm using sharp objects and forced the minor to interact with other adults under duress. In at least one instance, the abuse reportedly ceased only after a family member of the suspect interrupted.

Investigation developments and evidence recovered
During a search of Boyd’s home, investigators reportedly found items consistent with the victims’ accounts, including knives and hanging chains in the basement. The second alleged victim stated that the abuse began when she was five years old and continued until she left the location at age twelve.
Boyd currently faces formal charges including repeated sexual assault of the same child, child abuse, child trafficking, use of a dangerous weapon, and false imprisonment. Local authorities in Brown Deer and Milwaukee are jointly handling the case, although no public statements have been issued. Court records show that Boyd appeared in court on Sunday, with no information released about legal representation or an initial plea.
