America's relationship with Peru
The relationship between the two countries has always been close. Peru and the U.S. are booth part of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum and of the Organization of Americans States. President Joe Biden traveled to South America's country in 2024 in order to participate in the forum.
However, there are some new challenges between them. First, China is having a big presence in Peru, due to a new mega pier on Chancay, a few miles from Lima, the capital, finance by the Asian country. Also, money deduction from USAID has affected some projects based on Peru.
