81-Year-Old Woman arrested for allegedly attacking children with bear mace and racist language
She’s 81, but the charges are anything but mild: an elderly woman faces backlash and criminal charges after allegedly unleashing bear mace and a torrent of racist slurs on a group of children.

An 81-year-old Florida woman identified as Ada Anderson was charged with felony offenses after allegedly pepper-spraying two girls and racially abusing them for blowing bubbles, authorities reported.
On May 30, Anderson's neighbor, April Morant of Ocala, called 911 to report that her neighbor had pepper-sprayed her and her two daughters, ages 6 and 3, respectively. Morant also said the suspect yelled "stupid black people!" while pepper-spraying them, Marion County Sheriff's Office deputies reported.
The 6-year-old girl's statement: He pepper-sprayed her for no reason
According to the affidavit, the 6-year-old girl told deputies she was playing with bubbles when Anderson approached the fence of her home and, for no reason, pepper-sprayed her while hurling racial slurs. Immediately afterward, the spray began to irritate her nose and irritate her lungs.
Officers investigated the home and found an orange/brown liquid in the grass and on the fence. This substance was later identified as pepper spray, capable of irritating the nose and throat of those exposed.
Anderson's demonstration and the accusations against him
Anderson told them that the victims "were running up and down the fence and yelling at her." Therefore, she opened her car door and sprayed them with pepper spray. She also confirmed that, although she did spray them with pepper spray, she claimed that she didn't touch them because her vehicle was 40 feet from the fence, according to the affidavit.
Anderson was charged with three counts of second-degree assault for the alleged racial slurs. It was also reported that Anderson and Morant have previously gotten into trouble for insults such as "monkeys" and terms such as "they don't belong here." Anderson is scheduled to appear in court on July 1.
