Newsom's California Government comparing LA riots to sports celebrations involving federal agents
Newsom's team downplays the violent immigration riots in Los Angeles and accuses the governor's office of mocking federal law enforcement efforts.

California Governor Gavin Newsom's Office of Communications downplayed the protests that have swept Los Angeles in recent hours, comparing them to the sports celebrations following victories by the Eagles, the home team of the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL. "Riots in Los Angeles? Have these geniuses seen what happens when the Eagles win a playoff game?" asked Newsom's Communications Director Izzy Gardon.
Gardon's comparison stems from the fact that Philadelphia is known for having a significant influx of sports fans when the Eagles or Phillies, the city's home teams in the NFL and MLB, respectively, occasionally "celebrate" their victories by setting cars on fire and causing property damage.
Kristi Noem blames Newsom for LA Riots, calls protesters violent gang members
Meanwhile, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stated about the people arrested at the protests, whom Noem calls gang members: "The gang members we've arrested in Los Angeles are horrible people: robberies, drug trafficking, human trafficking," Noem commented.

The secretary also blamed California Governor Gavin Newsom for the protests in the community, indicating that Newsom makes bad decisions. "The president knows he makes bad decisions, and that's why he prioritized the safety of this community instead of waiting for Governor Newsom to reconsider," Noem said.

"I don't care if you like it or not," Homan warned.

Illegal immigration operations will continue, and anyone who uses violence to obstruct or impede them will be investigated and prosecuted," Bongino commented on his X account.
