Putin and Xi discuss G7 Summit tensions and Israel-Iran conflict in latest call
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping had a call to discuss the Israel-Iran crisis.

According to the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed in a phone call on Thursday some pending issues they had since the world leaders reunited in Canada for the G7 summit.
While almost every country struggled to agree on the Russia-Ukraine conflict after Donald Trump expressed support for the Russian leader and left early to concentrate on the ongoing issue with Iran and Israel, Ukraine was left without the assistance it needed.
Putin and Xi condemn Israel's actions
For both global leaders, Israel's actions are unacceptable and in need of a serious de-escalation. According to the Kremlin aide, Yuri Ushakov; Putin and Xi "strongly condemn Israel's actions, which violate the U.N. Charter and other norms of international law."
Ushakov stated that Moscow and Beijing believe that the solution to this problem relies on diplomatic prowess rather than military strength. "This solution must be achieved exclusively through political and diplomatic means."
China and Russia "throw shade" at Trump
Without naming the United States, Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to the Xinhua news agency, stated that countries with "special influence" should prioritize diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the situation. He clarified that "especially Israel" should avoid "the spillover of the war."
Russia, on the other hand, has warned that if the conflict becomes more complicated, it would result in catastrophe for everyone, urging U.S. President Donald Trump not to join Israel in its efforts against Iran.
While Putin has reunited with Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, and stated that he is ready to mediate between them for a successful outcome, up until now, no one has taken him up on his offer.
