Halle Bailey pursues custody and restraining order amid abuse claims against DDG
Halle Bailey has filed a restraining order against ex-boyfriend DDG, alleging physical, emotional, verbal, and financial abuse while seeking full custody of their son.
Singer and actress Halle Bailey, 25, filed for a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend and co-parent Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., aka DDG, in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
The filing accuses DDG of physical, emotional, verbal, and financial abuse during their relationship and co-parenting of their 1-year-old son, Halo.
Halle Bailey alleges physical abuse and injuries from DDG
According to the Chloe x Halle singer, DDG abused her in multiple times, even in the presence of their son. In the petition for the restraining order, Bailey tells of an incident in January, after the couple had already split, in which a fight escalated when she asked the father of her child when would he be returning their child back home, and he refused to answer.
Bailey said they began wrestling with the rapper, allegedly pulling her hair and slamming her face into the vehicle's steering wheel. As a result, she sustained multiple bruises and even a chipped tooth. Pictures of the injuries have been included in the court documents.

Another incident happened when both her and the baby were ill with RSV (Respiratory Syncytal Virus) and the "Little Mermaid" actress did not want her son to leave the house due to this. DDG reportedly "raised his voice and became verbally abusive toward me (Halle Bailey)." The rapper later broke her home security camera after he noticed it was recording.
DDG's emotional abuse and social media harassment towards Halle Bailey
According to Bailey, DDG has previously used the situation with their child to badmouth her on social media and criticize her motherhood and personal life, saying she's keeping the baby from him to gain sympathy. "I have asked him to stop this behavior. He continues. He gets paid for hits, and this creates hits for him."
While the actress has attempted to create a visitation schedule, the rapper refuses to compromise and establish an agreement. Nonetheless, the media frenzy caused by DDG's declarations on social media lives have caused incredible scrutiny around her public and family life, with some of his fans even threatening her life with the hashtag #freehalo.
