Big things are happening! Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are making waves with their latest announcement.
After months out of the spotlight, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were seen this weekend celebrating Mother's Day in New York City, along with their families.
This marks the first time the couple appears together after the hectic months they had at the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, in which the global pop star was completing her record-breaking Eras Tour, while Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs reached a place in the Super Bowl for the third year in a row respectively.

Nonetheless, it looks like the couple does not need to be in the public eye all the time to stay relevant, as a major announcement was revealed Thursday morning involving both stars.
Big announcement involving Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
On Thursday, May 15, People announced that both, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, were nominated for the upcoming Kids’ Choice Awards on June 21.
In Kelce's case, he has been nominated for the category of Favorite Male Sports Star, along with:
- Jayson Tatum
- Jalen Hurts
- LeBron James
- Shohei Ohtani
- Stephen Curry
- Lionel Messi
- Patrick Mahomes.
On the other hand, Taylor Swift has been nominated for Favorite Female Artist, along with:
- Ariana Grande
- Billie Eilish
- Cardi B
- Katy Perry
- Lady Gaga
- Selena Gomez
- SZA.
Additionally, her track "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart." has been nominated for the category Favorite Song, in which she will be facing fierce competition with:
- Kendrick Lamar's "Squabble P"
- The Weeknd's "Cry For Me"
- Lady Gaga's "Abracadabra"
- Billie Eilish's "Wildflower"
- Sabrina Carpenter's "Taste"
Taylor Swift’s recent events
On May 14, 2025, Swift was nominated for six categories at the awarded the BMI Awards. While she did not win all of them, she did win the Songwriter of the Year and Most Performed Song.
At the upcoming VMA's set to take place on May 26, she has also been nominated for 6 categories. However, it is still unclear whether she will attend, as fans speculate a major announcement could be in the works.
