Tony Todd’s final appearance on a movie
Anthony Tiran Todd, known professionally as Tony Todd, played a pivotal role throughout the Final Destination series. He portrayed the mysterious mortician—a chilling embodiment of death—who explains the dark forces at play to the main characters. His appearances during the films were short, but iconic, been reminded as that character in recent years.
Sadly, Todd passed away in November 2024, making Bloodlines his final film appearance. He was also renowned for his iconic role as Daniel Robitaille, a.k.a. Candyman, in the classic 1990s horror franchise. He also returned to the role on 2021, when a direct sequel of the original movie premiered. He portrayed it at the end of the movie as a cameo and it represented a way to say goodbye to his character.
