YouTuber Catherine Paiz, of the Ace Family, finally spoke up regarding her ex-husband Austin McBroom's cheating scandals. She did so by appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast and discussing the emotional devastation she felt learning that Austin cheated on her while she was pregnant with their third child.

The couple, who had married for six years and built their YouTube business, were widely supported by millions of followers. Their divorce was announced in 2024. Even with this heartbreak, Catherine relayed that she would continue to co-parent with Austin and help their children understand loyalty and honesty in relationship contexts.

Catherine Paiz speaks about McBroom's cheating scandal

During a recent interview, Ace Family YouTuber Catherine Paiz broke down in tears when discussing the cheating scandals involving her now-ex-husband Austin McBroom.

Catherine, 34, who married Austin, 33, and built a YouTuber channel with over 18 million subscribers together, and also share three kids, announced their divorce in 2024 after six years of marriage.

Catherine appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast and opened up about the horrible moment she found out Austin was cheating on her when she was pregnant. Her voice cracked when she told host Alex Cooper, “You never cheat on someone you love.” She made it seem like Austin cheated on her a lot with “about twenty” instances that she found out about.

Catherine said she found out about the affair after reading a text message on Austin's phone while pregnant that began with, “If you really love your wife." Catherine recalled that she was frantically asking for the other woman's name and feeling "so stupid" while she was pregnant.

The youtuber adamantly denied Austin's assertion that she had agreed to let him cheat as long as he didn't "embarrass" her and asserted, "I never, ever, ever said that." Catherine stated she would be sure to teach their children that cheating is wrong and never acceptable.

At times, Catherine would feel gaslighted, wondering if she was imagining things or if Austin was being truthful. She also said she was scared to admit that she didn't see it sooner. Catherine also indicated that Austin only confessed to cheating around one week before the interview.

When she was asked how many times she found that he had cheated, she said, "It was 20 or something."

The full interview will air on Wednesday. On May 11 Catherine announced her memoir Dolores: My Journey Home: Finding Myself Beyond the ACE Family, which discusses Austin's alleged infidelity and will be available July 1.

Austin McBroom didn't deny the accusation

Austin has not outright denied allegations of cheating, but he stated in a lengthy Snapchat video that Catherine knew about his behavior, and they stayed together in spite of it.

Let’s recall that Austin had been accused of cheating before, including in a 2021 claim by fellow YouTuber Tana Mongeau, which Austin denied claiming she was just a “clout chaser.”

Basically, the ACE Family are YouTubers Austin and Catherine along with their children Elle, Alaia, and Steel who gained fame through their family vlogs. The couple announced they were divorcing in January 2024 and said they had agreed to co-parent their children and though difficult, it was mutual.

Catherine stated that she feels “liberated” even though it hurts, saying that she had not been happy because she had always put her family before herself. Austin said it was "the hardest decision of my life." The couple both ”aid they would start to write their lives as separate authors.

Their last video was in June 2023. Catherine has since started dating tattoo artist and painter Igor Ten.
