Draco Malfoy returns to Broadway: Tom Felton joins 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child'

Tom Felton, famously known for his iconic role of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, is set to reprise the role that set him for stardom.
However, no, it is not for the new Harry Potter series HBO Max is producing. Tom Felton is set to prepare his Broadway debut for the 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' play.
Draco Malfoy is back
The announcement was made on June 5 via Instagram in a shared post between the Felton's, the U.S. production of 'The Cursed Child', and the official Harry Potter account. The video showed a blond man with all the elements you would expect from an adult version of the Malfoy heir.
According to the actor, participating in Harry Potter has been one of the greatest moments of his life, and returning to the franchise will be an incredible experience. "Joining this production will be a full-circle moment for me, because when I begin performances in Cursed Child this fall, I'll also be the exact age Draco is in the play."
Tom Felton's Broadway debut
While Tom Felton first starred in "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" as a child; the actor, now 37, is the first actor from the original franchise to reprise his role in any way. With this role, Felton is also celebrating his Broadway debut.

His performances will begin on November 11, 2025, and are set to follow for 19-weeks. The play, which opened on Broadway in 2018, is an adaptation from the book with the same name.
"I am thrilled to be able to see his story through and to share it with the greatest fan community in the world. I look forward to joining this incredible company and being a part of the Broadway community," Felton stated.
