Nick Jonas will play Paul Stanley on Kiss bio-pic "Shout it out loud"
Nick Jonas is in final talks to play KISS lead singer Paul Stanley in the biopic about the iconic band. The film, directed by McG, will begin shooting in late 2025.

Nick Jonas is in the final talks to portray KISS frontman Paul Stanley in a biopic about the rock band, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Shout It Out Loud is the name of the film project, and it will be directed by McG and financed by STX. The film will go into production at the end of the year or at the beginning of 2026.
Jonas has a long-time career in music and onscreen productions. Despite headlining The Jonas Brothers and his own solo career, the middle brother starred in the 2016 film Goat, alongside James Franco and Ben Schnetzer. He also appeared on the MMA TV show Kingdom, being part of the main cast through its 3 seasons.
The History of KISS
The iconic band first formed in the 1970s in New York. Their glam rock look, elaborate costumes, and iconic face paint made them famous and recognizable to entire generations, even decades later. The original lineup of KISS was Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss, and Ace Frehley. The band currently includes the two founders, Stanley and Simmons, Eric Singer, since 1991, and Tommy Thayer, since 2002.
The name of the movie comes from their iconic single. Shout It Out Loud, released on March 1, 1976, represents the band’s new debut after years of building a loyal audience but with little interest in their studio albums. The song was the first track on Destroyer (1976), marking a good start to their last chance to get a hit on an album. Despite being recognized for that song, the album found success with Beth, the side ballad.

Other Music Biopics
In recent years, many biopics of famous musicians have been released in theaters. Bohemian Rhapsody, A Different Man, Rocket Man, and A Complete Unknown aimed for the Academy Awards, being nominated for best film, best lead actor, and more. There is even a BCU (Beatles Cinematic Universe) project in development with four movies telling each member’s story, starring Harris Dickinson, Sam Mendes, Barry Keoghan, and Paul Mescal.
Another film project in development is Michael, a musical biopic about Michael Jackson's life. The movie will focus on his debut years with The Jackson 5, his solo career, and the controversies surrounding his personal resort, Neverland. The movie was planned to premiere in 2025, but some production problems have delayed it until 2026. The movie stars Jaafar Jackson, the pop singer’s nephew.
