Recall alert: USDA issues warning for beef jerky products containing fish allergen
Approximately, 15000 pounds of beef Jerky and snack sticks have been recalled due to undeclared fish allergens.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)'s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced on June 3 that more than 15,388 pounds of beef jerky and beef snack sticks, would be recalled due to undeclared allergens.
Utah's Springville Meat & Cold Storage Co., Inc., is voluntarily recalling beef, elk, venison, and buffalo jerky products; as the ready-to-eat food products contain food, which was not declared on the labels.
Details of the beef jerky recall
The jerky products were produced between May 30, 2023, and May 30, 2025, and were sold across the country in many stores, such as:

- Smokehouse Jerky Company
- Twisselman
- Wild Green Water Ranch
- Mr. Bills
- Nut Garden
- Prospector John’s
- John & Doug’s
- Knotts & Co.
- Killer
- Miguel’s,
- Big D’s
- Bear’s
- Bubba’s
- Soldier Summit
- Theurer’s Quality Meats
- TX Jerky Man.
Apparently, the allergens were in the Worcestire sauce, as it contains anchovies. The company previously used Worcestershire sauce without this addition.
What to do if you have the recall jerky?
While there has not been adverse reactions up until now; the USDA is asking consumers not to eat the product and instead return them to the local store where you purchase them
To identify the recalled products, you must recognize the establishment number: "EST. 20528" in the USDA mark of inspection.
