Toyota recalls Over 440,000 Tundra models due to reverse light failure risk: Here's everything you need to know
Toyota recalls 443,444 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles from 2022 to 2025 over reverse light defects that may increase crash risk.

Toyota has issued a recall of over 400,000 vehicles due to faulty reverse lights that may fail over time, potentially affecting driver visibility and safety during reversing.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall covers 443,444 cars with model years 2022 through 2025.

Which Toyota models are being recalled?
The safety issues start when moisture enters the light assemblies, and could cause both reverse lights to fail. This will increase the number of accidents, reducing safety.
The Toyota models affected by this faulty defect are:
- Toyota Tundra 2022-2025
- Toyota Tundra Hybrid 2022-2025

What you need to know if your Toyota is being recalled?
If you own any of the Toyota models being recalled, you must take them to the nearest Toyota dealer to have the repairs done for free. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 30, 2025.
Owners can also contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 with recall numbers 24TB06 and 24TA06 to find out if your car is part of the group being recalled.
