Iconic Chicago pizza chain 'My Pi' closing after 54 years in business
"My Pi" Pizza, a beloved Chicago deep-dish chain, announces closure in June after 54 years, ending an era of classic deep-dish pizza.

My Pi Pizza, known for its classic Chicago deep-dish pies, will close its doors at the end of June 2025 after more than five decades of operation.
The pizza chain, with 25 different locations across nine states, will continue accepting nationwide shipping orders through June 22.

"My Pi" owner, Rich Aronson announced the closure of the pizza chain in an Instagram post. "After more than five decades of making our signature pizzas, the time has come to say goodbye. With heavy hearts, we announce that My Pi Pizza will be closing at the end of June."
The owner did not give a reason why the decision was made, but he highlighted just how important the restaurant was for him.

According to the post made by Rich Aronson, alongside his father Larry Aronson, they opened a small carryout restaurant in their hometown. They liked it so much that Rich would later study at the Culinary Institute of America.
