John Rocker slams Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes over canceled fight with footballer's dad
Ex-MLB star John Rocker criticizes Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, after they reportedly influenced the cancellation of his fight with Patrick Mahomes Sr.
John Rocker, the former Major League Baseball pitcher, made headlines once again after he publicly lashed out at NFL star Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, following the cancellation of a scheduled celebrity boxing match.
The fight, which was supposed to take place between Rocker and Mahomes' father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., as part of Barstool Sports' "Rough N' Rowdy" promotion, was suddenly axed.

The ex- MLB expressed his frustration about the cancelled box match on social media, claiming that it was Patrick and Brittany Mahomes' fault that Mahomes Sr. backed out from the engagement.

Rocker called them "woke liberals" and the reactions on social media did not make themselves wait.

Everything started in January 2025, during the Super Bowl week, where the 2 of them were involved in a heated exchange in New Orleans.
While it was initially believed the argument was genuine, it was later discovered it was a publicity stunt for the upcoming celebrity boxing match, as Mahomes Sr. admitted in a legal statement.
However, Barstool Sports founder, Dave Portnoy cancelled the fight and later revealed it was due to Patrick Mahomes' involvement.
"No, this fight is canceled," Portnoy said at the time. "Mahomes' agent — the football player — and Brittany, from what I am told, intervened and said, There's no way this fight happens; we're going to cut this guy off if he does it.'"
