Canelo Álvarez vs. William Scull: How much did tickets cost for the fight in Saudi Arabia?
The Mexican star, Canelo, fights for the IBF super middleweight title in Riyadh, with ticket prices significantly lower than those for his past bouts in the U.S.

For the first time in his career, Mexican boxing superstar Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez will fight from Saudi Arabia, taking on William Scull for the vacant IBF super middleweight title at ANB Arena in Riyadh. The bout marks the first of a four-fight deal Canelo signed with Saudi advisor Turki Alalshikh—three of which will take place outside Las Vegas, a city long associated with his biggest fights.
While some fans expressed concern about moving major bouts away from the U.S., others welcomed the shift, especially due to the drastically lower ticket prices. According to ESPN, entry-level tickets started at just $20 USD and the most expensive tickets—seats in the lower-tier bleachers—were priced at $203 USD. These figures represent up to a 96% drop compared to Las Vegas prices, which can range from $350 to over $5,000 USD.
No ringside access, but a full house expected
In a notable change, ringside seats were not made available to the general public, but fans appreciated the more inclusive pricing and clear sightlines from all areas of the ANB Arena, which seats fewer than 10,000 spectators. As of the latest reports, fewer than 50 tickets remained, signaling a near sell-out for the high-stakes title fight.
This bout carries particular significance, as Canelo had previously been stripped of the IBF title after declining a mandatory defense against Scull. Now, the Mexican champion must defeat the Cuban contender to regain his status as undisputed super middleweight champion.

The Canelo vs. Scull event will stream live globally via DAZN on pay-per-view. In Mexico, fans can watch the fight on free-to-air television on a delayed basis, a decision that has sparked debate but underscores the evolving business model around Canelo’s career.
