On Monday, March 10, 2025, the Mexican magazine Quién reported the death of popular TV host Yolanda Andrade at the age of 53. The news quickly made headlines, causing widespread concern about the health of the actress and television personality.

However, shortly after the initial report, Quién removed the information from its website, leaving many to wonder if the report was true. The confusion sparked a series of statements denying the rumors, with sources close to Andrade clarifying the situation.

Yolanda Andrade is not dead

Raquel Rocha, director of Unicable, the network where Yolanda Andrade co-hosts the show Montse & Joe, immediately spoke out to disprove the rumors. Rocha firmly told Publimetro reporter Hugo Maldonado that the news of Andrade’s death was "completely false."

Adding to the clarification, entertainment journalist Carlo Uriel took to his social media to deny the claims made by Quién magazine. Uriel stated that Yolanda Andrade was currently in the United States receiving medical treatment, which had kept her from attending recent tapings of Montse & Joe. Despite her absence, Uriel confirmed that Andrade had previously agreed to participate in the recordings but had to cancel due to her health.

As of now, Quién magazine has yet to issue any statement regarding the incident.

Yolanda Andrade’s health: What we know so far

Yolanda Andrade's health has been a topic of concern for some time now. On November 21, 2024, while recording an episode of Montse & Joe, the host suffered a health relapse, struggling to walk and speak. She left the XEW studios in Mexico City in visible distress and expressed her regret at being unable to speak with the reporters waiting outside.

In the days that followed, Andrade revealed that a health issue affecting her brain had impacted her speech and motor skills, causing her to take a break from work.

After months of absence, Yolanda Andrade returned to work on February 13, 2025, to record more episodes of Montse & Joe. While she did not elaborate on the details of her condition, Andrade expressed her gratitude for the support and well wishes from her fans.

"I’m so happy to be back. I missed you all so much. I love you, thank you for all your messages, blessings, and good wishes," she commented.
