Best-selling author Dolly Alderton adapts Pride and Prejudice into a six-part Netflix series. Starring Emma Corrin, Jack Lowden, and Olivia Colman, this faithful retelling promises fresh insights into Austen’s beloved classic.

Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice remains one of the most iconic works in literary history, captivating generations with its wit, romance, and keen social observations. Now, best-selling author Dolly Alderton is set to bring the classic novel to the screen in a new six-part Netflix series.
Known for her debut book "Everything I Know About Love", Alderton’s adaptation promises to stay true to Austen’s original text while offering fresh perspectives on the beloved characters. The series will star Emma Corrin, Jack Lowden, and Olivia Colman, with Euros Lyn, known for "Heartstopper", as director.

Netflix's "Pride and Prejudice" star-studded cast
The new Netflix adaptation will be full of stars, and among them will be:
- Emma Corrin, better known for her role as Princess Diana in "The Crown", will be playing the coveted role of Elizabeth Bennet.
- Jack Lowden will be playing the brooding Mr. Darcy, the BAFTA winner better known for his role in "Slow Horses", is expected to bring a new take to the character.
- Olivia Colman, better known for her role in "The Favourite", will be playing the role of Mrs. Bennet

Dolly Alderton is a very famous, British bestseller author and screenwriter. She is also a columnist for The Sunday Times, and her book, "Everything I Know About Love" won the National Book Award in 2018 for the autobiography category.

She is very excited about the challenge of bringing such a beloved book to live and told Netflix that: “Once in a generation, a group of people get to retell this wonderful story and I feel very lucky that I get to be a part of it.”
