Who is Alex Fine? Meet Cassie Ventura’s supportive husband amid Diddy trial
Alex Fine, Cassie Ventura’s husband and former NFL athlete turned celebrity trainer, has stood by her side during the high-profile Diddy trial.
Alex Fine has quickly gained social media popularity for supporting his wife, the R&B singer Cassie Ventura, while she was the key witness at her ex-boyfriend of almost 11 years, Gean "Diddy" Combs.
When Cassie took the stand to answer the prosecutor's questions a few days ago, she was pregnant with their third child, and Alex remained a source of quiet support while she recounted years of abuse.
Who is Alex Fine?
Born in Cincinnati and raised in Lake Orion, Michigan, life took Alex Fine down in an athletic path. He eventually landed a running back position at Central Michigan University. Eventually, he gained enough discipline and structure through sport to learn how to handle life's curveballs.
However, he has also had a personal experience with domestic violence within his own family. According to him, one of the worst experiences of his life was learning his own mom had had to endure abuse. In 2020, just before running a marathon for domestic violence, he wrote a blog saying how growing up around violence had shaped him. "Watching the trial drag on for three years, and seeing my mom have to relive the memories of that violence over and over again over those three years, was one of the most helpless feelings I’ve felt."
Fine continued. "I didn’t want to give in to those paralyzing feelings. So, I decided to channel my anger and feelings of helplessness by running fifty miles to bring awareness and hopefully raise some money for other victims of domestic violence."

Alex Fine and Cassie Ventura first met when his profesional reputation brought him into Diddy's orbit as a personal trainer. He would later train Cassie directly, and after she split with Diddy for good, the 2 of them eventually began dating and eventually got married in September 2019.

They now have 2 daughters and are currently expecting their third child. However, he has firmly stated she did not save her in any way. "Cassie saved Cassie. She alone broke free from abuse, coercion, violence and threats. She did the work of fighting the demons that only a demon himself could have done to her." According to him, implying he was her saviour, was an "insult to the painful work [his] wife has done to save herself."
