$Trump's dinner party: Who attended the President crypto meeting?
The $Trump, the former U.S. president's cryptocurrency, hosted an exclusive dinner for top holders, attracting more than 200 attendees to his golf club in Virginia.

$Trump, the President’s meme coin, launched a unique promotion: the top holders of the cryptocurrency would receive an invitation to an exclusive dinner with Donald Trump himself. The event was held at his golf club in Virginia.
Last Thursday, more than 200 people attempted to attend the dinner. However, the list of attendees has not been fully revealed, and since part of the promotion included a visit to the White House, they declined to comment on this meeting. Nevertheless, NBC News and The New York Times have provided a list of known attendees at the crypto dinner.
List of Attendees
According to The New York Times:
- Elliot Berke, Washington attorney
- Evgeny Gaevoy, founder and former director of Wintermute
- Anil Lulla and Yan Liberman, co-founders of Delphi Digital
- Stephen Dworkin, founder of CTS International
- Sangrok Oh, former director of Hyperithm
- Matthew Liu, co-founder of Origin and former YouTube Projects Director
- Caitlin Sinclair, former reporter for One America News and conservative social media influencer
- Lamar Odom, former Los Angeles Lakers player and creator of $ODOM, his own meme coin
Chinese Investors Attended the Meeting
Among the revealed attendees, two are from China, a country with which Trump himself declared a "trade war" due to increased tariffs. Justin Sun attempted to attend the dinner last Thursday. His presence is not surprising given his ties with Donald Trump through World Liberty Financial, the President's crypto company. However, Sun is known to have been sued by the Biden administration’s Securities and Exchange Commission for allegedly inflating the value of a cryptocurrency. This lawsuit was paused when Trump assumed office in the Oval Office.
The attendance of Cheng Lu, 32, was confirmed by a Times reporter who watched him enter the White House on Friday. This was due to $Trump’s promotion, which includes a personal visit to Washington for the top 25 investors. Lu is a crypto investor from Shanghai and stated that he did not speak to the president on either Thursday or Friday.

$Trump Faces Rejection in the U.S.
Both Democratic and Republican legislators expressed opposition to the meeting. Democratic politicians called it a serious violation of presidential norms. Although the emoluments' clause of the Constitution gives Congress the power to prevent the president from profiting from his position, cryptocurrencies are exceeding existing legal precedents.
This, combined with Trump’s supportive stance on cryptocurrencies, raises ethical concerns. A spokesperson for the White House said last Monday that Trump is working "in the best interests of the American public." However, they did not respond to requests for comment on Friday.
