Chad Bianco, Riverside County Sheriff and California gubernatorial candidate, sharply criticized former Vice President Kamala Harris for her comments emphasizing that the unrest in Los Angeles is the fault of the Trump administration. Bianco commented, "The Democrats and their 'leaders' are responsible for this," in response to Harris.

Bianco also emphasized that President Trump does not “set cars on fire or throw projectiles” and that Harris’s statement is “shameful” in every way. “President Trump did not start these riots. He does not go around setting cars on fire, throwing projectiles at law enforcement, or blocking freeways. This statement is shameful and does nothing to defuse the violent unrest taking place throughout the city,” Bianco wrote on her X account.

Kamala Harris spoke out about the protests taking place in Los Angeles and mentioned that she believed they were the result of President Trump’s harsh, cruel, and ruthless agenda aimed at dividing the population and sowing panic in the city. “The actions of this administration are not focused on public safety, but on fostering fear. Fear of a community that demands dignity and due process,” the former vice president commented.

Bianco responded by adding a video of the unrest that had occurred at the protest and urged the public not to be fooled by Harris's statements. "Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris, Karen Bass, and the Democrats want you to think this is a 'peaceful protest,'" Bianco said. "Don't let them fool you. This is Gavin's lawless California. Our state deserves better," Bianco commented.

The Sheriff and candidate for governor of California commented that he is monitoring the situation at the protests and that any disturbances that occur will have a "zero tolerance policy," especially with regard to criminal activity that occurs at the protests.

On the other hand, he also stressed the importance of complying with the law in order to end the protests and that anyone who wants to break the law will be imprisoned. "Law compliance is an absolute requirement if we want to remain a civilized society. Anyone who breaks the law, encourages or incites this behavior, or assaults or obstructs the enforcement of the law will be arrested, imprisoned and prosecuted," Bianco said in a press release from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.
