Trump warns Iran: talk now before it’s too late
Donald Trump stated at the start of the G7 summit that Iran would like to talk about "reducing the conflict" it has with Israel.

US President Donald Trump commented that Iran would like to talk about a possible de-escalation of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. These statements were made at the start of the G7 summit, which began today in Canada.
Trump made this comment in response to a reporter’s question about whether there was any progress or indication from Iran that it wanted to end the conflict with Israel. "They would like to talk, but they should have done it sooner," President Trump told the media.

The US President also remarked that Iran should negotiate because the conflict with Israel is taking too long to end peacefully. "They would like to talk, but they should have done it sooner," Trump said. "But I would argue that Iran is not winning this war. And they should talk, and they should do it immediately, before it's too late," he added.
He also emphasized that the US has always had strong mutual support with Israel and that, as a result, things are going well. “We have always supported Israel. We have done so firmly for a long time. And Israel is doing very well right now,” the American President emphasized.
Iran says Trump call could restart peace, demands Israel end aggression
Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, stated that if Trump were to make a call, it could pave the way for a return to peace in the Middle East. “If President Trump is sincere about diplomacy and is interested in stopping this war, the next steps are crucial. Israel must stop its aggression, and if it does not completely cease military aggression against us, our responses will continue,” the Iranian minister stated on his X account.

Araghchi expressed confidence in his statements, saying: “A phone call from Washington is enough to silence someone like Netanyahu. That could pave the way for a return to diplomacy." However, when Trump was asked if the United States would get involved in the conflict, he said he didn’t want to talk or think about it for now.
