Zootopia 2 Teaser Trailer Drops After 10 Years: Disney Confirms November 2025 Release
Disney has released the first trailer for Zootopia 2, ten years after the original film, on May 20. The sequel promises to expand the universe of the award-winning animated film.

Zootopia 2 finally released their sequel trailer after 10 years since the last film. Disney launched the trailer today, May 20th, and it features new and well-known characters, promising to expand the universe of the 2016 Academy Award-winning Best Animated Film.
Bryan Howard returns to his co-director role after not participating in the Disney+ special, Zootopia+. Jared Bush is also directing the film. The second part of the story of officers Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will premiere in theaters on November 26th.
What happened in the Zootopia 2 trailer?
In the teaser, we see Judy and Nick meeting a new reptile character named Gary De'Snake, played by Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan. The trio escapes from the Zootopia police, traveling through many new places around the city: an underwater town, a snowy street, a house in the mountains, and a desert-themed city.
However, the big reveal at the end is that they have also been chased by an anonymous figure with a hood and yellow glowing eyes that do not reveal his face. Apparently, the new villain is more dangerous than the last one, as seen by the worried faces of Nick and Judy.

Who will return in Zootopia 2?
The return of many voice actors to the movie has been confirmed. Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman are still voicing the iconic bunny/fox duo in the sequel. As she said at D23Brasil last November, Colombian superstar Shakira will reprise her role as Gazelle, a pop singer in Zootopia.
The teaser also confirms the return of some iconic characters, although the original voice actors have not been confirmed yet. The actors who could return are Nate Torrance, Jenny Slate, Idris Elba, Tommy Chong, Maurice LaMarche, and Raymond S. Persi. Fortune Feimster and Quinta Brunson have also joined the cast.
